cute...
Had dinner with Venka, an Indian junior from A block. Met him at the bus stop, going to eat dinner at pgp. Since the two of us don't have anyone to eat dinner with, I told him that it might be a good idea if we eat together. So we ate.
Nah you nasty minds, it's not what you think it is. To the innocent minds, well it is more like bonding with a fellow stage crew. Someone who also sympathizes since he too knows how much work stage crew entails. Mind you we are working 10 am to 2 am now (with a bit of linient 2 meal breaks). Besides, he's 17 years old in EE too, so technically speaking he is my junior. Perhaps a kid who appears to be my big brother! I'm approximately half his height and half his size!... So there's nothing fishy!
But the cute/funny part is: After eating, well it was a casual thing for Indians to ask their friends if they want a drink (mind you that's free! hahahahah...but I didn't take advantage duh...), so he asked me and obviously I declined the tempting offer (bwahahaha what a cheapskate am I! =P). Then we started walking to the bus stop. When we reached the place, it's already 8:15 pm so A2's gone . So we decided to walk. In the middle of the journey it started raining. And we still walked :P. Then there comes the first bus stop, we stopped for a while. I was of course as usual indecisive whether to wait for the bus or to just go on with the already moderate rain. He said we should go on. Then we went on. Wet. We walked fast at first. Suddenly he slowed down. He said it has been a long time since he got soaked in the rain. I started to think.
Come to think of it, he has been in singapore for like 5 months and already missed this nice thing of intentionally getting wet in the rain and is doing it now. I've been here for 2.5 years and I've been missing this thing but never really did it! And finally here comes the chance so I better take it! . Then I hid ate Jolines card under my shirt since I thought of giving it to her but I didn't know she already lives in old KR (--> yeah all the while I was carrying the Christmas card from ate Karen) and decided to get soaked in the rain...
there... we dilly dallied in the rain, got soaked of course while protecting ate Joline's card. It was wonderful to intentionally get wet in the rain. I like rain =)... Doing simple and small things are wonderful but maybe some people are just too complicated to notice =).
Somebody just made me smile today. Thanks Venka! You know more life than I do! hahahah...^_^
