some answers
this is in addition to the post I had before, the one with digression in the title. Anyway, I wasn't making empty claims and I can back up what I said with the verses I read just now. Here:
Freedom from Human Regulations Through Life with Christ
Col.2:6-8
"Do then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him. Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ" NIV
Christ brings real life
Col 2: 6-8 CEV
"You have accpeted Christ Jesus as your Lord. Now keep on following him. Plant your roots in Christ and let him be the foundation of your life. Be strong in your faith just as you were taught. And be grateful.
Don't let anyone fool you by using senseless arguments. These arguments may sound wise, but they are only human teachings. They come from the powers of this world and not from Christ."
So when a teaching doesn't come from the bible... I therefore conclude that it is human teaching.
