may 6!
the last day of finals! woohoo! i'm glad for those who will finally achieve their ultimate freedom from all those "killers". ^_^. It is sure freedom!
for this post, i'll try to write some sense...
but...uh... i forgot... a while ago thoughts were coming out #_#. Now, they're gone!
hehe neways, I'll discuss another topic instead.
I just noticed that a number of people are somewhat "worried" in their Christian life. Troubled that they cannot get what they want because they haven't experienced much and thus, the Lord can't bless them. OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. Well, I don't want to brag (and I'm not bragging either) but I have experienced some "hard" things in my life and I guess I should be the one "envying" for the comfort they are having.
First of all. DO NOT ask the Lord for such things to happen to you because you think you might grow better or might be blessed more after the rain. THE LORD KNOWS what He is doing; He is God and we as humans whose ways are way lower than His have "no right" (i do not know a more friendly phrase to use so I apologize if it sounds offensive) to tell Him what to do. You should be happy that the Lord is not allowing such things to happen to you. You should be glad because you are blessed with the kind of life or "training" where you are not troubled with physical and emotional troubles due to breached relationships etc, and those what you call "tough" trials i.e. death of a family member. You see, EVERYONE got their own special training for the special thing that God prepared for us. We just wait and let Him do His work because He will certainly finish what He has started in us. If you are sad because you are not getting what you want, there can be at least two things there. One, He doesn't allow it because He knows that it is not the best for you. Two, sometimes the calling of God comes from ourselves that we should not mistake it as some self-effort, in this case, He had to use us to get what our hearts have desired. If we are not open to Him, then most likely we'd become like those people who just wait under an apple tree for an apple to fall on their opened mouths to satisfy hunger. If we are them, we might end up eating worms! Or even watch it being eaten by the birds or taken by someone else who opted to climb the tree. It's a vain wait.
Do not let ourselves be troubled! It is our choice to worry, and choosing to do so, instead of doing more productive things, is an indication of not trusting the Lord enough. (Yes, i am also tellin this to myself.) Indeed, if we have fully placed our trust in the Lord, we would never worry and would choose not to if we are faced with the choice because everything is under His control and He perfectly knows what He is doing: things to prosper us and not to harm us. We just have to trust Him. We should worry in nothing. And also, do not worry about tomorrow because each day got enough troubles of its own. So, instead of worrying, why don't we make ourselves productive by knowing the Lord more, helping others, and solving "minor" daily problems that come our way. "Step by step we will move forward, little by little we will gain ground." Just let the Lord.
Again, do not ask the Lord or even give Him the hint. He already knows even before you realized it. He has set everything to happen in their own time. Else, if you keep thinking about it and even worrying, He might just give you. And I tell you, it could be something you'd never want to happen and it is not wise if we are laid with the option of experiencing them or not. It is just not wise to take the rough road if the two different paths end up on the same highway. Reall, why take the tougher? (hope you get what I mean because there can also be arguments "against" my claim in that same analogy I've used... The arguments are not in line with what I meant. Really...)
So that's that! Live life! Know Him and enjoy!
What profit do we get if we choose not to enjoy? Who wants to end up miserable in the end anyway?
God bless!
