haller!
reminds me of spice girls...
la lang...
well, i just came back from our first vball match, and it's against KE7 (my bridgin hall)... It was okay i guess (at least i got the chance to serve and play; and meet old friends and play against them at the same time)... and Johnny! haha our dear scary coach is well...at least smiling in the end even though we sucked during the training... and oh dear, i have to hide from him whenever i try an overhead serve, because he'd rather see me make good side services than a temperamental over the net over head serve! hehehe... as for volleyball, im having good time learning... I can actually spike! yey! even though i'm such a shortie, but hey, i'm a ball-thirsty player when i'm in all form... haha and that i guess rarely happens (and based on observation this thing happens when i'm caffeinated (don't mind my spelling!)...HAHA... i avoid coffee but i'm quite lethargic so i got myself a bazaar free coffee for the game)...
oh well, people have this mentality that overhead services are scary, and those who know them are surely strong... Well, i also had that, but i tried to disprove that to myself when i tried working for a fast, low, spinning a bit, baseline ball side serve; similar to that of a good overhead serve effect (although i risk out balls coz it requires a strong side swing and good angle, Johnny gave me several 5s on a vball service "test" we had; 5 meant a real threat to the opponent)... and that shows that although such mentality may generally appear true, an overhead serve is not the only way to ensure a point, any serve will do as long as you get the feel of making the ball hard to hit. It's like although height maybe an advantage in the game, but as long as you enjoy the game, and know how to handle the ball well, even height cannot intimidate you (but i'm not there yet! =P )...
hahaha...vball sayings... oh well... i miss the V league in the Phil... kewl talaga!
hahaha...yeah...the only life i had for the day is that, other than the two labs...
God bless!
