Kuala Lumpur Escapade
Wow!
three weeks back i thought i was going to be stuck in Singapore for quite a long time. But now, hehe... wee I've been to somewhere not Singapore. The title obviously speaks where I have been...
I have finally seen the tallest building in the world! hahaha... ryt! big deal! but for a lil gurl like me, hahaha, it is quite a big deal.
My Christmas isn't so boring after all thanks to Karen and her Dad, who invited me to tag along. I also learned stuff from them through their quite intellectual conversations, which I hardly remember having with my dad... hehe... what could a twelve year old innocent child say about grown-up stuff..." stop working coz you don't have enough time with us???"
Hmmm... about the Kuala Lumpur escapade. Well, for one, i miss the long bus rides (it was about 4-5 hours from singapore to KL). The bus was nice, the seats are like the business class in airpplanes, altho the colors are well... quite not so in... hehehe...
we were in malaysia for about 24 hours =)... although it wasnt enough to fully enjoy the tourists spots of KL, missing two consecutive volleyball trainings was worth the trip!
first we went to Sunway Lagoon, it has a hotel, a resort, an amusement park, and a mall, and it is designed after the egyptian pyramids and stuff in it. The place was cool although we only went for the dry rides. To fully enjoy the place, one must be prepared to be wet, bring swimming gears! The rides we ventured were Buffalo Bill Coaster, Niagara Falls Flume Ride (dang! we got nearly totally soaked! and the cowboy people were making us worse with water guns!), Colorado Splash (yeah.. another wet thingy), Tomahawk (tomahawk is like a slower, surprising, covered version of booster, although nothing beats "booster" of last year's Chinese New Year entertainments--> i screamed to death man!), Galleon and Lost City of Gold (quite a screamy one too =P).. we also walked around the place, made some stalactites, stalagmites and scholar stones sight seeing, and watched two cutie tigers on their "home"--> cage still with water falls and stones and fishes...
after Sunway Lagoon, we went to the mall with the skating rink. We watched several performances, although they were not really some proffesional ice skaters, i was meserized because I wanted to learn and do the graceful things they do... hehe... quite enchanting for me. The shops in that mall are also quite cheap, and as expected, pizza hut in KL is way cheaper than in Spore. So i enjoyed pizza with a fruit shake =P. Sunway is quite far from KL proper, about an hour ride, so roughly we were travelling and were in Sunway for about 6-8 hours?
Our next stop were shopping centers in KL. The not so nice The Mall, and then this Bukit something... hehe... and we made a Starbucks stop along the way (and yeah, starbucks is also cheaper there...hehe)...
What's really remarkable about the trip was that I never ate so much in a day for I think my past few months! Buffet breakfast (super full tummy!), Pizza Hut lunch, Hotdog something dinner, and nearly the whole pack of oreo (the bits thingy--> 4 dollar worth of oreo imagine that!) Lays, chocs, candies, fruits...=) hehe... FOOD! nothing beats the pleasure of eating good food! =)
well, that's all i guess... Im still quite sleepy and I still need a lot of sleep to catch up with because the trip was made the day i sent Jashep to the airport (slept for 2 hours only) 2 days ago, until now... i think i barely had enough naps in between...=P
God is good all the time. For some reasons He allowed me to stay here in Singapore for this Holiday, for some greater reasons and maybe purpose that somehow i'm starting to get enlightened with. I wouldn't be expecting nice things to happen though, for I know the Lord will never leave me and no matter what, everything would turn out to be perfectly okay =), most probably wonderful after a mix of maybe unlovable events and lovable ones =)
God bless everyone! and enjoy your Christmas and New Year!
here are some shots =)
